The design achieves a balanced, engaging narrative through high-quality photographs that evoke emotion and illustrate real impact, combined with clear headings, subheadings, and a cohesive colour palette of red, teal, yellow, and orange accents that reinforces brand recognition. Sans-serif typography ensures excellent readability, with emphasised figures in larger, contrasting sizes for key data points.
Infographics and charts (including pie charts for fund distribution and bar graphs for programme growth) present complex financial and impact information in an accessible, visually appealing format. The overall layout breaks up dense text while maintaining a professional, mission-aligned aesthetic.
This thoughtful approach earned the project the HKMA Best Annual Report Awards 2024 – Citation for Design, recognising its excellence in visual storytelling and stakeholder communication.
