Through tight collaboration with HKBU’s History Department and Dr Kwong, the project presents historical facts and personal stories with unflinching honesty. It integrates historical photographs, documents, first-hand testimonies, and infographics to create an immersive experience. The clean and elegant visual style highlights distinctive Hong Kong cultural elements, striking an effective balance between information density and user experience. This project was awarded the Digital Humanities Awards 2021 “Best DH Data Visualisation” prize, affirming our innovation and professionalism in digital historical presentation.
